Call us. With Joint Reaction, you can see an orthopaedic specialist in a matter of days. No referral is required – you don’t need to go to your GP first. We are a large group of orthopaedic specialists in southern England,so you can see the right person who specialises in your specific condition right from the start.
The sooner you see a specialist, the sooner you can get the correct diagnosis, advice and treatment you need for your particular condition. Our skill is in diagnosis, by finding out exactly what is going on and then helping you with a solution.

See a specialist for just £300 or less
Our consultations cost no more than £300 for a new patient consultation, making it affordable and cost-effective to be seen quickly. Our flexible approach means your consultation can be at a date and time to suit you and your consultant.
Most consultants provide consultations and treatments in multiple locations – if you want to be seen close to work or home, just ask. So, you may not even need to take time away from work or family commitments.
You can self-fund this appointment or if you have health insurance, our consultant surgeons are recognised by all major health insurance companies, including BUPA, AXA PP and Aviva. Check your health insurance policy as not all companies cover initial consultations.
Should you wish to proceed with treatments and/or surgery, we can also suggest a choice of funding options.
More time, more care
Our consultants make time in your appointment to listen to you and discuss your issues. They may be able to give a diagnosis there and then or advise on further tests or scans to fully diagnose your issue.
At the end of your private consultation, you will have the information you need to make an informed decision as well as a personalised plan for moving forward. This may include scanning and imaging and other tests which you and your consultant can review at a follow-up session. You can discuss your options and have a clear view of what to do next. For more details see our Tests and Treatments page.
It’s not always about surgery
Only a third of patients who come to see our orthopaedic consultants actually require surgery. So, your consultant may give advice on which scans you might require, for example, or help direct a physiotherapist toward specific treatments to help you. This is part of our multi-disciplinary approach between surgery and physiotherapy, providing you with a range of operative and non-operative treatments.
If you do require surgery, our experienced surgeons offer caring, compassionate, orthopaedic surgery/operations at the best local private hospitals.
Our orthopaedic consultants have all held NHS consultant posts at Frimley Park Hospital and are all recognised specialists in their fields. With a wealth of experience, our consultants have access to all state-of-the-art facilities at local private and NHS hospitals.
Indeed, if you decided to go the NHS route, you would probably be referred to one of them – but you would usually have to wait many weeks/months!
Some of our surgeons are current Army or ex-Army surgeons. Our established consultants are highly experienced, whilst others are the rising stars in orthopaedic surgical techniques. All have a strong ethical code, sense of honour and pride in their successes. Most of all, they share a passion to help people like you and plan your recovery back to an active life with better mobility and free from pain.
