Sri Chatakondu was born in Bristol and educated at Bristol Grammar School. He qualified in 1992 from Charing Cross and Westminster Medical School in London.
As a specialist registrar, he undertook orthopaedic training on the North West Thames London rotation and gained broad experience in all aspects of general orthopaedics and trauma. Having developed a special interest in spinal surgery he undertook a combined neurosurgical and orthopaedic spine fellowship in Melbourne, Australia.
Sri commenced work as a consultant orthopaedic surgeon at Frimley Park Hospital in March 2004. He maintains an interest in general orthopaedics including trauma and joint replacement. His special interest is in spinal disorders and he undertakes surgery of the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine.
He consults and operates at Clare Park Hospital, Mount Alvernia Hospital, Woking Nuffield, Prime Health Ltd and the Parkside Suite at Frimley Park Hospital.
