Mr. David Dempster M.B.B.S., London, F.R.C.S., England.
David Dempster was brought up and educated in the Home Counties.
He trained at St.Thomas's Hospital Medical School, London University
and qualified in 1975. After jobs in Salisbury, Derby, Wolverhampton
and London he spent a year in New York as Associate Professor in
Orthopaedics at the Albert Einstein Medical College, before returning
to become Research Fellow at St. James University Hospital, Leeds,
and then Senior Registrar at Guy's and St. Thomas' Hospitals, London.
Appointed
Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Frimley Park Hospital in January
1989, he has maintained a wide range of interests adult and children's
orthopaedic problems, including upper and lower limb, but especially
joint replacement, including shoulder, hip and knee, and recently
has developed skills in the use of Botox injections for selected
patients with cerebral palsy.
He is a Fellow of the British Orthopaedic
Association and the Royal Society of Medicine.
He lives in Famham
with his wife, a GP, and 3 children. His leisure interests include
hill walking, cycling and skiing.
