Ann Ingate MCSP SRP
Ann qualified in 1985 from the Oswestry School of Physiotherapy.
She is an experienced out patient musculoskeletal physiotherapist
, with a special interest in knees. In 1989 she moved to the Lord
Mayor Treloar Orthopaedic Hospital in Alton which she managed for
eight years. Whilst there she developed her interest in knees working
closely with a leading orthopaedic surgeon and developed her knowledge
of ACL rehabilitation.
Three years ago she became the physiotherapy
manager at BUPA Hospital Clare Park. She has built a close working
relationship with the Joint Reaction consultants, furthering her
interest in knee rehabilitation. This has lead to the development
of the Extended Scope Practitioner (ESP) role.
Ann, together with
Fiona Goult, fulfils an Orthopaedic Practitioner role for the Joint
Reaction team. Orthopaedic Physiotherapy Practioners are Chartered
Physiotherapists who have extended their traditional role, into
the area of their expertise. In Joint Reaction this means that
Ann and Fiona run parallel clinics to Mr Hull and Mr
Chissell,
where they assess certain knee conditions and arrange appropriate
treatment.
Ann has just completed the extended scope practitioner
module as part of an MSc at Southampton University,
Ann is married
and has 2 children. |
